Over the past 18 months, her life has been a kind of surreal fantasy born of tragedy.

Just six days after losing a third of her left leg in the marathon bombings, Adrianne Haslet-Davis, then a ballroom dance instructor at the Arthur Murray Studios, told me she would dance again.

That front page Herald story immediately went viral and culminated in Adrianne’s amazing dance performance last March in Vancouver, aided by a state-of-the-art prosthetic developed at MIT.
